Vipul Bansal appointed as Distinguished Professor

Congratulations to Professor Vipul Bansal, FRSC on his appointment as a Distinguished Professor at RMIT University (RMIT STEM College).

Vipul, a Chief Investigator in MOBIUS, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC); the Founding Director of the Sir Ian Potter NanoBioSensing Facility; and Deputy Head of Research at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Environmental Science at RMIT University.

His outstanding research career has focused on developing new nanomaterials that advance biomedical applications, including nanozymes and 2D materials, and understanding nano-bio interactions.

Application areas include sensors and diagnostics, biomedical imaging, cellular immunotherapies, and antimicrobial technologies.

Vipul is currently focused on discovering new disease markers, translating sensor discoveries from bench to end users – such as to monitor cattle health on farms, and mentoring the next generation of research leaders.

Congratulations to Vipul!
