Touring RMIT’s manufacturing, sensing and materials science facilities

We were delighted to team up with three Industrial Transformation Research Programs (ITRPs) to tour RMIT’s cutting-edge facilities on 23 February 2026.

Thank you to MOBIUS lead researcher, Distinguished Professor Madhu Bhaskaran, and Dr Rajour Tanyi Ako (RMIT STEM College) for hosting early and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) from MOBIUS; the ARC Training Centre in Optimisation Technologies, Integrated Methodologies and Applications (OPTIMA); the ARC Research Hub for Future Fibres; and the ARC Research Hub for Advanced Manufacturing with 2D Materials (AM2D).

We thoroughly enjoyed tours of RMIT’s new Discovery to Device facility and Micro Nano Research Facility, which showcase essential discovery and manufacturing facilities that support diverse research including sensing, materials science, and prototyping.

It was also a fabulous opportunity to network with colleagues across the four Australian Research Council (ARC) ITRPs!
