MOBIUS at Biosensors × Space: Vital Monitoring for Earth and Space

MOBIUS was delighted to sponsor the Biosensors x Space Workshop at La Trobe University’s City Campus on 6 October 2025, exploring how biosensors are shaping the future of both terrestrial healthcare and space medicine.
The workshop brought together researchers, engineers, clinicians, med-tech, and space industry partners to discuss biosensing innovations across hardware, validation, data pipelines, AI analytics, and pathways to flight and clinical use-all culminating in a vibrant networking session to spark collaboration across labs, hospitals, and industry.
The outstanding line-up included Dr Saimon M. Silva (MOBIUS), Stephanie Larson (Nutromics), Professor Mathew G Lewsey (ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space), Masayuki Goto (Space Medical Accelerator), Distinguished Professor Brian Abbey (MOBIUS, Allesense), and others.
Thank you to the organisers, La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science (LIMS) and the Australia Japan Foundation, and especially to the hosts Kate Kitagawa and Dr Saimon M. Silva, for leading such an inspiring and future-focused event as part of the Space Education and Science Innovation Series.
