Welcome to MOBIUS affiliate researcher, Dr Andrea Ranzoni, Chief Product and Technical Officer at MOBIUS’ industry partner, Agscent.

Andrea brings over 15 years of expertise in bridging fundamental nanosensor physics with commercial medtech development, establishing foundational intellectual property for next-generation diagnostic platforms.

He has held senior management roles across multiple global organisations, leading cross-functional teams from early feasibility through to regulatory clearance and commercial manufacturing.

Andrea holds a PhD in applied physics from Eindhoven University of Technology and Philips Research, focused on opto-magnetic nanotechnologies for biomarker detection.

He is core inventor and developer of three nanosensor platforms that have been successfully commercialised; and co-inventor of 15 international patent families including optical biosensors and later flow technologies.
